These two colors can look so different when you’re inside of a dark room. I’m a huge fan of keeping them separate.
It seems like something every homeowner should do at least once in their home’s interior. The best way to do this is to paint the kitchen counter, walls, and floor a color that contrasts with the rest of the room. The same idea goes for the rest of your home, and it’s only a matter of time before your entire interior is in shades of purple and brown.
I love the idea of having a range of colors for every room. I also think that purple and brown should be made to the theme of every room in your home. For instance, I think that purple accent walls should be made so that the colors they contain are more contrasting with the rest of the room. So that when you walk into the room you are looking at in a purple or brown room, you can immediately see it.
I have to admit that I am a believer in the art of mixing colors. However, I have to agree that having a purple and brown theme can be a little awkward. Purple and brown color schemes are so very often used to make a room more “homey.” It seems like they’re trying too hard to make color palettes like you see in magazines.
To add to the issue, purple and brown are so widely mixed that there are shades of purple and brown that are just too dark to be used for this purpose. This is an issue I believe is most pronounced when it comes to bedrooms, so I will give you the rundown of my thoughts on the matter.
The first thing you do when you paint a bedroom is take a look at your room and paint the walls the color scheme you want. Then you move on to the bed. The bed is the room’s centerpiece, so it needs to be a little more important than the walls. The bed should be the most important thing in your room.
My bedroom is a mixture between black and brown (and it’s not an exact mix either). The walls are black, the bed is white, and the floors are brown. The only difference between the first two and the last is the bed.
This mixture is called “purple and brown mixed” because if you mix the colors right, the brown part of the bed turns purple and the purple part turns brown. The brown part of the bed should only be the part that you painted. Also, you need to paint the walls in a color that contrasts with your other rooms.
This is an example of mixing colors well. If you paint the brown part of the room dark brown, the purple is almost black. If you paint it very light brown, the purple is almost black. Also, the brown is very dark and the purple is very light. The white part should be just like the white part of the walls.
Purple and brown mix is easy. Just combine the two colors together. It’s like mixing coffee with tea.
